Going to the Hamptons!

We are bringing our collection to the renowned end of summer event in Bridgehampton, NY, The Hampton Classic, opening one week from today.

“As one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the United States, and a premier destination for horse people, the Classic is a much-anticipated stop on the summer tour. Now well into its third successful decade, The Hampton Classic Horse Show is in a class all its own, both in the minds of spectators and horse people alike.”

It’s a beautiful event to watch magnificent riders and horses compete, stroll the beautiful, grounds, shop the Boutique Garden, and just people watching……..we will be in our usual spot by the red umbrella.  See you there!

Meeting David Boot at Brennan’s Bit & Bridle

There is nothing more exciting for a maker than visiting another makers studio. We have developed a working relationship with Brennan’s Bit & Bridle in Bridgehampton, where we will be having a Trunk Show on November 7th.

This past summer Toshiki dropped by Brennan’s to chat with Master Saddle maker David Boot, whose studio is on site. David was born in London England, began his saddlery apprenticeship there at the age of 15, with George Parker & Sons, Saddlers to The Queen Mother.

David himself later earned this honor.

He and his partner Lucy now are full time residents of Long Islands East End.

The Weekend:Gallery North

We have the wonderful Gallery North here on the north shore, in Setauket, offering some very fine art and craft for fifty years.  I became a volunteer this year, and this weekend was assigned to the information desk, at the annual

“Joseph Reboli Wet Paint Festival”

where artists set up their easels on the gallery grounds or the Historical Society across the street, and interpret the view.

Their works will be on view at The Gallery July 15th-17th

A Silent Auction of the works will be held on Friday July 17th, followed by the Auction Reception from 6-8

Good Luck bidding!
