The Best Kept Secret in The Berkshires! #FineCraft!

We kick off our fall season, every year since 2001, in one of the most culturally rich areas in the North East,

Great Barrington, Massachusetts, in The Berkshires, at

The Berkshire Crafts Fair

The buzz at the show is the quality here is on par with The Smithsonian and The PMA Craft Show,

and there is some great work here you won’t find anywhere else!

So if you don’t know of this secret, plan a weekend, take in the show and maybe a concert at Tanglewood, a dance performance at Jacob’s Pillow, some of the great shopping and galleries in Lenox, such as Sienna Patti Contemporary,  The Norman Rockwell Museum, and so much more!   If you do know about the secret, see you soon!

Wow, Those 80’s!

TBT, who remembers these leather jackets we made in the rockin’ 80’s?

So much color! And shoulder pads!

This was one of our more subdued “bomber” styles.

It was a fun time, but I wonder if that era will come back in fashion?

This image was scanned from a slide (remember those?)

taken on our “in house always available” model.

Remember her?

Throw Back Thursday, at The Show

Of course I love it when customers come to shows dressed in Toshiki & Maryszka,

especially, when the pieces are years old, well worn and loved, one of a kinds & limited collections.

This woman came to Craft Morristown in one of our leather pieces from 10-15 years ago, along with a one of a kind Toshiki handbag from a small collection done also in that time frame.

Do you have a piece of ours?

We would love to see you in it, and give you your 15 seconds of fame on our At The Show segment!

So come wearing it, or email a pic of you on the street in it!

Happy Spring!

Art & Design in New York

New York City, there is just so much going on creatively in May that it is just bursting at the seams. There is Frieze New York, on Randalls Island, there is The International Comtemporary Furniture Fair, ICFF, at Javits, there is WANTED Design at the Terminal Stores on 11th Avene, to name just a few.  And the mother of them all, The Whitney Biennial is on, which is the last one to be held in the historic Marcel Breuer building on Madison Ave. before the Whitney moves to its new location in Chelsea next spring.  I was glad I went, to see the space so crowded with art that the new space indeed seems like a refreshing idea. Who was shown is another story I will leave to critics, but I have Craft in my soul so these appeal to me, thou I can’t really explain their inclusion in the show.  For some reading on the show, The New Yorker ,  The Times,  among many.

My Favorites!
